Dr. Alexander M. Sailon is a Chesapeake-based plastic surgeon focused on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. He believes in listening to the concerns of patients and combines that approach with attention to detail and an analytical methodology to deliver beautiful and natural-looking results. He is committed to helping each and every patient achieve his or her desired goals through an attentive, highly individualized approach.

Dr. Sailon is a native of New Jersey & New York and attended the Horace Mann School. After graduating cum laude from Georgetown University, he attended New Jersey Medical School on scholarship. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a result of his academic achievements. Subsequently, he completed a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where he had the chance to work with many of Manhattan’s plastic surgeons.

TRAINING
Upon completing his rigorous plastic surgery training, Dr. Sailon sought to pursue his dream of providing aid to children most in need. He joined Operation Smile, a well-regarded international non-profit organization, as the Hearst cleft and craniofacial fellow under the tutelage of Dr. Magee. Throughout the course of a year, he traveled extensively and successfully operated on hundreds of children while honing his skill in cleft surgery.

Dr. Sailon actively remains on the forefront of plastic surgery, a continuously evolving field. He has done extensive research, attended many international conferences, and has numerous publications in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals.

On the second floor of the Virginia Gateway Building in Atlas Walk, this striking, updated dermatology office offers full-service care. Visitors of all ages are welcome to discuss all skin issues including skin cancer screening, rashes, acne and cosmetic concerns.
